The most conventional of breaking into blocked sites is using proxy servers like the one's i have mentioned in my site...u can access all sites "for free"... & some servers also allow u a download/upload bandwith of 1gb perday..
i can tel u y is it so..
proxy sites generally are helped with the adds in them .. the more no. of unique users they have the more income they generate....the best free proxies can generate from
500-1000$/day ..some proxy sites therefor make u click ads or give u a lot of popups and make their money....however thats not too big a deal that the browsers cannot afford..yeah it actually spoils ur browsing experience a bit but afterall nothings for free in this world....
there are thousands of proxies on the net and most of them are available for free...but now u know y do they offer it for free to u.....most people use such proxy sites to access sites that are blocked by their isp's (internet service provider) and some use them for hacking and some just to protect their identity..
the most visited proxies are fav of users as they feel they will get high speed , unlimited bandwith etc...but these are the sites that are blocked first in countries of gulf like UAE, SAUDI ARAB,OMAN etc...
the cyberspace security in these countries are meant to be very strong (harsh to most users actually) as they cant browse sites like orkut...
and hence proxies are like a boon to such people who are barred from browsing social networking sites like orkut..
i believe that its good to select proxies on the following basis...
1)high or mediocre bandwith and good server
2)less ads and descent looks
3)rarely seen on google ads
4)not many browsers all the time
5)least popups
6)gives users ability to download stuff via proxy server at least 200mb/day
THE other alternative of using the proxy sites is actually using firefox with "tor"
tor is a network which redirects users through proxy servers..its good from the point of view that u r not bombarded with ads everytime u open a website..
but the bad part is that it actually ruins a browsing experience of one is in search for browsing and downloading at high speed..people even with high dsl connections like 2mbps actually can get 200-350 kbps of browsing speed and 30 to 80 kb doenloading speed ...
thats almost a cut off of 90% bandwith...
